Random Thought #2

My second Random Thought seems a little more writerly focused.  Yay!

Why do I have such a difficult time saying "my writing"?  I always use some kind of euphemism, like "creative pursuits" or a similar phrase.  Sometimes I say, "my work", because that's also what it is.  I never say, "my book".  I think that sounds too presumptuous, as though I assume it will be a published book when I'm finished.  When you're working on your writing, is that what you call it when talking about it with others?

Here Is A Link

Just one this week.  I'm sure there are a lot of great articles I've missed lately, I've just been busy.  I did enjoy this one about being too realistic in a story.

Quote #8

Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.

Random Thought #1

I thought I'd start posting some of my Random Thoughts.  I have them.  I either keep them to myself or I use them in my creative pursuits.  Sometimes they're confusion, sometimes they're gross.  Maybe some of them sparkle.

On Walking Dead, which my Hubby and I watch, why is the Govenor such a popular character? He drives me crazy.  I don't know how he lived so long.
